Our high-calorie smoked beef burger recipe
The ingredients
- 2 brioche buns
- 450 g of potatoes
- 250 g of ground beef
- 4 tbsp. barbecue sauce
- 50g cheddar cheese
- 100 g of onion
- 30g spring mix salad (or a salad made with curly lettuce, red lettuce and arugula)
- 4 tbsp mayonnaise
- 2 tsp balsamic vinegar
- 1 tsp smoked paprika
- 2 tbsp. oil
- 2 tbsp Italian breadcrumbs
- 1 tsp sugar
- salt and pepper
Note that you can replace or combine smoked paprika with other spices to vary the flavors.
The stages of preparation
Roasted potatoes
- Preheat the oven to 230°C
- Cut the potatoes into large cubes
- Place them on a baking sheet and pour 1 tbsp of oil over them.
- Add salt, pepper, ½ tsp smoked paprika and stir everything together.
- Bake for 20 minutes
- Turn the potatoes over after 10 minutes of cooking.
Caramelized onion slices
- Cut the onion into thin slices
- Pour 1 tsp of oil into a wok or frying pan and add the onion slices
- Fry over medium heat for 3 minutes
- Add 1 tsp of sugar and a little salt
- Stir and cook for about 8 minutes
- Stir in 1 tsp of vinegar and set aside in a bowl
Beef patties and slices of bread
- Mix the ground beef, Italian breadcrumbs, and smoked paprika on a plate
- Add salt and pepper
- Divide the mixture into two equal parts to form two pancakes of approximately 10 cm in diameter and place in a non-stick frying pan.
- Add 1 tsp of oil
- Brown for 8 to 10 minutes, taking care to turn the meats halfway through cooking.
- Sprinkle them with grated cheese before placing them on a non-stick dish
- Divide each brioche bun in half and toast in the oven for 3 minutes with the ground beef
BBQ flavor sauce and dressing
- Pour the mayonnaise, barbecue sauce and a little pepper into a small container
- Spread half of this mixture on the slices of bread
- Arrange the caramelized onions, spring salad and beef patties before closing your burgers.
- Serve them with roasted potatoes and the remaining BBQ cream.
